Salon du chocolat de Paris

This past Saturday, we hopped on the métro and set off for Porte de Versailles, site of the annual Salon du Chocolat.

Featuring more than 150 chocolate makers from around the world, the Salon offered everything from the latest Mars bar innovation to chili-infused dark chocolate tablets. Throngs of chocolate enthusiasts crowded booths to meet world-class chocolatiers and queued for chocolate-making demonstrations.

I focused on samples (lots of them) and came away with a belly ache and a clearer understanding of my chocolate consumption limits. Oh but it was worth it.
